Good work with the texturing, the mapping of those parts looks good so far. Great new spikes model.

Almost finished texturing.

and started making trailer too. :biggrin2: Trailer isn't of the complete length yet, because there's a turret with a cannon at the back which will add to its length.

First in-game picture:

Currently there are many defects like too much reflection, bad proportion, etc... Wheels and windshield textures are temoprary. I'll add the trailer later.

P.S: Windshield is looking like there are several dots on it :frown2: maybe due to saving in .bmp format.

A different image- without any update.

I've also made exhaust smoke things, not visible here. Exhaust pipes look too small :stress: I'll try to fix/improve a lot of things.

Good work, looks ok in-game. Some parts of the truck aren't well proportioned, like the exhaust pipes, indeed. Look at photos of the truck of the movie to see how much your model resembles it, use them as referiment.

Inspired by you. :smile2: BTW your modification to the default MM2 cars to make them death race like is really nice.

I made this simple flat trailer just to see how a trailer works, and it worked as it should the first time, with default fire truck's files.
Image
Above shot is of the trailer after I messed with some tuning files and forgot to center axes of objects before exporting.

But the real thing to worry about: the grills and windshield look horrible. :sad2: Looks very aliased. MM2 doesn't have anti-aliasing?

Bad luck, man. :P Nice truck! As for the windshield, it looks awesome to me!

If the problem with the trailer it's just the forgetting of center the axis, it's easily solvable. Restore previous state of the tuning files if you've edited the ones about the trailer object. The reflections on the truck should be absent.

As already really clear, MM2 doesn't support anti-aliasing because it's an old game (in 2000 year the anti-aliasing filtering neither existed in videogames), the graphic cards of that year doesn't support this filtering, and uses DirectX 7, and the game engines that use this version of Microsoft's graphic libraries can't have built-in anti-aliasing filtering. You must force the anti-aliasing through your graphic card settings (choosing MSAA 4x or 8x AA type and always enabled), that's the only way to have it.

This is a bit off topic: Here is a simple low-poly car with a rocket on it, tuning is horrible and so are many other things. It has animated flame coming out from rocket exhaust, model made in 3 hours or so. :footinmount:
