With such detailing, it could be problematic concerning the porting to MM1, though. With MM2 this happens much less, instead.

The game has never supported the 32-bit colors by default. From what I know, the only way to get them is use the modified game EXE present with this release, which also enables the unused MM1 style lights.

I don't know about car modeling tutorials with Blender, at least concerning low poylgons models to use in an old game. A very good cars modeling tutorial for MM2 with ZModeler 1 is this one.
