Indeedy, and with those factors, I believe that is the main reason why many hospitals are tightly stuffed back in those days. Which is why that by 1965, seat belts were introduced. And yet, even people back in those days, and some even now, have forgotten that all-important step to being safe on the road... ;)

Not only were cars like that absolutely a joy to drive, but they were also on the heavy side with all that chrome and sheet metal, too, before the days of high-impact plastics, computer chips and such.

Plus, not to mention, accidents happened a lot back in those days (by "a lot" I don't mean as often as someone falling off their bicycle & wrecking it, it's just that car accidents back in those days did happen, to some extent.) and people did die in cars like that, like, they would end up having the dashboard for lunch as well as getting impaled by the steering column simultaneously and breaking a lot of bones (gruesome feeling, ow. :( )

But fortunately, cars are a lot safer nowadays, but classics like this shouldn't be forgotten to remind us all of those bygone days when motoring and other things were much different from what we have today. :)

(lol) Yes indeedy, and back in those days, cars like those used to be a jewelry because of all that chrome, and fun to drive too. :D

Not unless if you're hightailing it the rest of the way there to whereever you're going, lol. Especially with little or no traffic around.
