@Triple X: Nope. I used far different method on my screenshot. You could try what you said, but it'll consume more time than what I did. IMO

@Silent: I was messing around with the stuff on Photoshop and yeah I got it working like a charm. I'll PM you soon enough, or MIGHT make a tutorial on it. Whichever you think is best. We'll see how it goes.

for the dark area use burn and choose shadows and midtones (or however it's called)

How'd you make your scenes dark? and the light areas? What method did you use? Just change brightness/contrast?

Lol yeh not my best effort put up but it was worth a try.
@Silent: Indeed I did miss it. Was in a bit of a rush. I can do better though. :)
