News - Midtown Madness 2 eXtreme

20 years ago, Microsoft's game Midtown Madness 2 was released. Its community is still going on making new addons and mods for it, and especially, in recent times it's doing impressive coding researches and deep improvements. This game has now affected the life of some of us, amazing the community with the modding possibilities that it opens and with continuous discoveries done little by little.
Thanks a lot to everyone in the community, and to the supporters of it and of this website. Long live Midtown Madness 2!

Hello MM2X Users, as you can see, something changed in the last Month!:
Finally MM2X v4 is now online and Running! I'm very proud to annouce it! And it's here with a modern look and a lot of new features! I wanted to released it for the MM2X's 16th Birthday wich was on August! Very Happy So please Enjoy It!

I also want to announce a new Section in the site:
The Midtown Monthly Magazine! It's created by applemonstr and it will be supported by MM2X.

MM2X: MM1 downloads section officially opens!

The section for files downloading about MM1 is now officially opened! Check the links in the left side menu and enjoy the first 20 downloads added, between new and old releases. They're 12 cars, 2 tracks and 6 mods. Others are going to be added.

MM2X: Acura & Honda Trademark infringement

Hello All!
I was contacted yesterday from a Legal Association which represents Acura and Honda companies, they accused me and MM2X of Trademark Infringment..
so i decided to remove every car and add on representing those 2 Marks..
from now the "Acura" and "Honda" files will be removed ASAP..

i'm so sad about this but I can't do a legal war for some FREE add-ons..

10 Years ago, I was working on MM2X.com v1.5, this site became a bigger Platform, with a real forum and a grow community!
10 Years ago, the real MM2X was born!

But now, after 11 years of activity, 55 millions of page views, 14.000 registered user, 6.5Gb of files online, probably mm2x will close..

Why? because i can't pay the mantenaince costs of the server wich became always bigger. (Statistics)
In 2008 I added the PayPal donation form in the bottom left menu for Help our site, since 2008 we received only 2 small donations. Not Enough Sad

We are asking your help! every kind of donation can help this site to remain online!

MM2X: New Download Script

Hi All!
After a long time and a lot of work i finally finished the new Download script.. I corrected all the bugs and I introduced some new features:
- Security Code (you need to insert a security code for download)
- Mirrors (now we have the option to add mirrors for files)
- Upload Script (when you'll submit a car you can upload the file from your pc)
- Broken Files Autoreport (when a file is missed it will be autoreported to the admin)

I'm still adding all the Files on our Mirror Server.. in the next all the mirrors will be up.. We are sorry for the inconvenience to all users, but this change to our System was necessary because of a few people leeching our Files and the bots where slowing the entire site..

You can finally download our files Faster than 4kb/s!!!
