...and no, I'm not joking. I hope they make it phenomenal, considering how crappy the third entry was.

Chaos and Destruction was terrifyingly bad, especially while looking back at the other games... But didn't we already know this new FlatOut would be next car game?

I knew about this announcement. Hopefully it'll be much better than the third one...

The IP (intellectual property) was originally owned (maybe because bought) by Empire Interactive publisher, which failed in 2009, and so successively bought by Strategy First publisher. FlatOut, FlatOut 2 and FlatOut Ultimate Carnage were developed by Bugbear Entertainment, who probably is also the game IP creator. Strategy First gave the developing of FlatOut 3 Chaos and Destruction to Team6, a pretty unknown team but already known to make bad quality games.
Now, this new FlatOut is given in development to Kylotonn Games, which is also developing WRC 5. I tried its game called Truck Racer, and it was pretty bad; the other games titles developed by it aren't so great. Hopefully, now this team seems to have improved pretty much getting experience with cars driving games.
Bugbear Interactive now is developing Wreckfest (originally known with the project name Next Car Game), which is the real spiritual successor to the FlatOut series chapters developed by them. The game is now in Early Access on Steam.

It's not a real Flatout without Bugbear developing it. It's sad to see Strategy First ruin the rep of my first racing game series that I ever played. :(

Bugbear stop to develop the game, probably, no more flatout.
If you don't like the new Flatout, well, try to not play it. :)
I am respectful to the new games, although they are bad, i will never play them, just i play games from my childhood, well, Flatout 2 is great and Ultimate Carnage too.
I have only Flatout 1 and 2.

Bugbear always does a great job at making games.

Even their lesser known title, "Tough Trucks" was pretty good, sadly I only played the "trygames.com demo version" so it only gave me a day to play it, but I have a pretty good memory so I remember it being a well made game.

And its not surprising that Bugbear, being a Finnish video game company made this game- they combine vintage Trans-Am racing plus WRC-style events combined with the driving style of 90's games like Demolition Racer...

...and i'll bet that some of the developers can drive. Maybe all of them! Check this!

I couldn't say the same about the other developers- maybe they like kittens instead? Who cares! Finland sounds awesome! :aprobar:

They also made a game called Rally Trophy, a WRC style game. They even release their first prototype of Flatout on their old Kickstarter page for Next Car Game.

Since I've been no-lifing Skyrim for the past year or so, Fallout 4 drew my interest as soon as the trailer came out. I'll be getting it for sure.

I don't have any hardware that could play Fallout 4, but I would mod the shit out of it if I did.

How's possible confuse these names? They're just slightly similar. :P However, yeah, Fallout 4 is a much more awaited game, with collector's editions already announced, too.
