I don't even know if it works, or will work - I'm honestly just modelling the roads (roughly) for fun, but here is (or at least 3x6 KM of) Jakarta.
Why Jakarta? Why not?
(Red roads measure ~8m across, orange ~6m and yellow ~4m. Blue will be larger...when I get round to it).
I have no idea when i'll finish it, or even if I ever will fully finish it (e.g. adding buildings etc), but one never knows...
So is it possible to use a sketchup model in making things for mm2? I never actually bothered to check.
A project thingy

Re: A project thingy
Have a good work with this, maybe will come out something for MM2.
However, would be better focus more on the other track project you're making in this way.

Yes, it's possible, but it's required the Pro version in order to export in .3ds format. So is it possible to use a sketchup model in making things for mm2? I never actually bothered to check.

Re: A project thingy
Thanks for the info! With the other map idea, there are some things I intend to change before looking to convert the model to .3ds - though I don't have 500 euros to immediately spare to buy it. I won't ditch it to do this model thoughHave a good work with this, maybe will come out something for MM2.

Thanks for all your interest, I'll try to keep at it.

Re: A project thingy
This is a nice idea, hope you remain interested. If modeling all roads as on map gets too complex, you can make only the vital ones and some main landmarks, just like default MM2 cities.
Or you could use Blender, a better option for free.I don't have 500 euros to immediately spare to buy it. I won't ditch it to do this model though
