How to let AIs avoid extra roads

I was programming a new circuit race and I finished the checkpoints and the ai route is almost done, but it keeps pissing me off when I saw him going to the road away from the start/finish checkpoint.
Here's the Image:
The question is: How can I make him go straight to the checkpoint?

Opponents aren't following Checkpoints but opp waypoints

Yeah I know, but I want them to go straight ahead to finish it correctly. Should I Reverse the race checkpoints and the A.I. routes?
Edit: Yes! It worked! He went straight to the checkpoint. I'm sorry for the interruption I didn't expect the I can make it.

Wasn't aware there was a "right" way
. I don't even go in reverse order...I go all over every-which way
