MM2 doesn't lag on Windows 8.1!

MM2 doesn't lag on Windows 8.1!

Hey.

I got MM2 working on Windows 8.1 Pro x64. It doesn't lag as much (on 640x480), only a bit on collisions. But there's some weird glitch in the stuff that's not 3D - can't post a screenshot, when I paste the shot in Paint, it comes up as black.

How did I do it?

1. Get MM2. I had an installed copy which I backed up from Windows 7.
2. Get this ZIP file (thanks, fastback428!) : https://www.mediafire.com/download/l8e4m ... erent.zip/
3. Get 3D Analyze: https://games.softpedia.com/get/Tools/3D-Analyze.shtml

Run the 3D Analyze extractor in the ZIP. It'll extract to the current directory. Run the EXE.

Click the Select button, then choose the MM2 EXE. Input the following settings:

Before clicking Run, open the MM2 folder, and fastback428's ZIP. In the ZIP, open any folder with version number lesser than 1.3.31. Copy everything in the folder you chose to the MM2 folder, and delete the file gfxconf.dat.

Now click Run. Enjoy the glitches. :P

Thanks! I have Windows 8.1 few days ago and MM2 was lagged but i hope now it will work.
Don't keep hopes up too high! Windows 7 is much better, and far as I can see, there is no fix for this.

I tried it, there are few bugs(speedometer, pressing Esc or F1, etc.) but at least it doesn't lags.

I started a Cruise and everything was worked normal, except there was no speedometer. I tried to make a screenshot and it worked!

By that time, our machines would be so powerful that having a VM for playing MM2 would actually be practical. :)
