Looks good in-game, very nice work for a first conversion. Why the police sirens on it? Riva's reflection mod it's one of the best and more indicated for cars showing.

Mad Max V8 Interceptor is a police car (interceptors class), as you can see in the police light inside on it, and on the movie. I can't find that part on youtube but there is a interceptor replica with the siren working:

I thinked this effect would looks cool in car, because who did't like to drive a so cool police car like this? (remember, only the sounds work, the police lights I has a problem with it and you can't see them glowing on the car). But, the project is not complete, so if you don't think its a cool idea I can change it for a replica of the horn sound, or even make 2 versions of the car, one with police siren, and one with horn.

By the way, I thinked about why I can't open the ar. file on Ultimate Teaker and I read on websites and I saw that lots of people use WinZip to pack the files into a ar. file. Well, I used WinRar. Does it make difference to oppenning it on UT?

Looks nice but I suggest to use other sounds, or if you want I can make random V-8 sounds for you

Well, maybe I can take the sounds from the movie, but I don't know if it will have nice quality. If you can make V-8 souds for my car I would be gratefull, and of course I give credits for you (do you use a software to make souds or you take it from internet?)

Mostly I record from youtube or take from another game, I can also mix few ingame ones which will get best quality but might not sound like the real car

Maybe thats the problem, because I use 7zip, and none of my cars work either. :?

WinRar tends to mess up MTX files, just try the "Store" compression mode

I tryed to make the .ar file with WinZip, but it's equal- works fine in game, but I can't open it on Ultimate Tweaker. I'm making another car convertion and the other car has the same problem.

Sounds good. :) Ok about the sirens.

I never get working problems when making the .ar file with WinRar and default ZIP compression. Same with 7-Zip and its default ZIP compression.
It's something normal get the impossibility to open the .ar file in MM2 Ultimate Tweaker and MM2 Vehicle Viewer programs when it's made using WinZip.

REALLY IMPORTANT GUYS, PLEASE HELP
Hi guys, I'm working on the V8 Interceptor dash. First I thinked in modify the default Mustang Fastback dash, but the interiors of the Interceptor are really nicely detailed, so I cut the the car body (don't worry, I made a copy, the complete car is safe). But can I make a dashboard from this?

Image

I'll cut the rest of the doors and the glasses, but can I make a dashboard for the car using this part of the car? Or how do I make a dash?

The good and easiest way of make a dashboard form some high quality 3D interiors it's by making textures from them. So, separate the steering wheel form the rest of the dashboard, delete at least the RPM and speedometer gauges needles if made with polygons, and make a frontal view screenshot of both, like the classic view of a dashboard. Then, cut out only what's needed, make sure to have the correct sizes of the images and make the alpha channel to hide the parts that haven't to get visible in-game. Check this tutorial for more info.

Thank you really much for your tutorial, it explains how to make the dash really nicely :)

Using the pictures from the interior of my Interceptor makes the dash more nice, because it will looks exacly with the interiors from the in-game car, and because I don't like that dashboards that looks like a picture.
