Version 3 of this mod has been released, and can currently be found at MMArchive. Soon to be available here at MM2X.

The images and text below are for V2. V3 screenshots can either be found at the link above, or later pages of this topic.

For a little while now, I've been modding MM1. Fixing issues with it, and since the release of RV5, improving graphics. Those of you on Facebook have already seen these images, but now I'm posting them here too. :)
Some of these pictures are from earlier in development, so if you see something strange (for example, a dark alley road texture), then I've most likely fixed it now.

This version doesn't quite have the history that MM2 Revisited does, so it's not as big. However, it doesnt need to be. MM1 is a much better game than MM2 by default, so it needs less fixes. Here's a list of what it does, in order of how I see files.

* Made the airplane louder.

* Improved and lengthens background ambient sounds.

* Changed a few sounds to better MM2 counterparts.

* Modified opponent arrows to have black outlines on the map.

* Put point value for winning in a vehicle in the Showcase for each default car.

* Removed "Hide Pedestrians" from the race options screen.

* Fixed headlights on every default car. They have a more natural color, and the cone matches up with the glow properly.

* Corrected path of plane, it now flies over the runway, not through the street lights.

* Gave the dash lighting effects to the underground parking garage near Old town.

* Corrected Fastback wheel color. They are now black, not gray.

* Fixed several issues with the secret drivable traffic cars. The small airplane is now actually practical to use.

* Used higher resolution versions of several textures around the city. Things such as roads now look better.

* Added cops that drive around in traffic. They actually still chase you if you break a law, like parked ones.

* Improved well over 100 textures.

* Made traffic cars somewhat heavier.

* Corrected statistics for default cars in the menu.

* Fixed the dash jumping up and down in most default cars.

* Changed the Field of View in most cameras to 70, instead of 60.

- Removed Herobrine

This mod will be released eventually. I still need to do several things. And I don't have much free time on week days anymore, so development will be kinda slow. Don't worry though, I'm committed to MM1 for now. :)

Great graphic from the screenshots, looks impressive. Interesting some of the changes done.
Is there a possibility to have also here the 360 degrees skies?

Most likely not. The spinning effect with sky models seems to be hard coded in MM1. Also, I tried once before, but could only get one texture for the sky working. The rest simply didn't load.

Herobrine doesn't exist, it's like in Minecraft, it never existed yet in almost every update, a feature was labelled "-Removed Herobrine".

Yeah, I knew about Herobrine before lol...

I could ask MidtownMadness1 to put up videos with this mod on!

Yeah, he'd like to have it, I play with him on a daily basis over hamachi, and have even been in his latest video. :) I've told him about it quite a bit, and he's eagar for a beta.

By the way, can you make it so that the external view mode can have more area to zoom in and out like in MM2?

That will be perfect.

Maybe... there's a file named asflycam, but I've not messed with it much. I'll get to that eventually.

It might be hard-coded, like MM2.
