Which notebook is better?

Hi! I'm considering a new notebook, and giving my old one to my sister. I'm thinking of some gaming (TDU? Maybe NFS: The Run) and some internet browsing and experiments (changing operating systems and all). Which of these two is better?

ASUS K53SM-SX010D:

Sony VAIO E Series SVE15115EN:
https://www.flipkart.com/sony-vaio-e-ser ... B5UEQ4CGCW

For the lazy, the specs:

ASUS:
i5 2450M @ 2.5Ghz
2GB NVIDIA GeForce 630M
750GB HDD
FreeDOS (What?! DOS, in 2012?!! You've gotta be kidding!!)

Sony:
i3 2370M @ 2.4Ghz
1GB AMD Radeon 7650M
500GB HDD
Windows 7 Home Basic x64 (What?! BASIC?! I'm used to Ultimate!!)

Any person giving help would rock ;)

PS: I know that ASUS is better, but Sony is cheaper and I won't have to buy Windows 7. :P

Really these are very cheap notebooks, they haven't the sizes and the usual low specifications of netbooks. However, these are very low powerful for games, you could just make run decently old games on them.
Choosing from those two, I would go with the ASUS one, it has better specifications, but the OS is to change if you want to. Would be better look for other brands and models.

This is a netbook? I thought netbooks are 10-13 inch laptops with underclocked 1.4Ghz i3's or 1.6Ghz Atoms and about two gigs of RAM (mine has one :P). If you're talking about i7 laptops, they're a big no-no, all i7 tops on Flipkart (only online shop I'm allowed) are clocked like, 2.2 Ghz! I can overclock my netbook to that much! Well, anyways, thanks Franch, I think I'm checking the system requirements of newer games, and find a better PC/notebook.

EDIT: How's this? Same as the ASUS, but with 7 Home Basic (Basic!!) and a 3.1Ghz i5. Same NVIDIA 630M.

Indeed, as already said, because of their specifications and screen sizes those aren't netbooks. Netbooks are known by their crappy Intel Atom CPUs, present most of the times.

It's better of course, but with that graphic card you can't hope to play recent games decently.
