Upset

Postby solutiontheology » Sun Aug 03, 2008 10:42 pm

I've had this game for awhile, and it works (sort of). I can start the game and it runs, I can do everything. Except when I'm tired of a course and want to change I get to the menu screen and click return to menu and then a blue screen appears saying there was a fatal error and there had to be a virtual memory dump. I have tried all the patches I could find yet it still never works. Someone help me.

Does this happen in Crash Course racers? And in which ones?

Never read this problem before, it's the first time.
Maybe it's given by the player profile, that could be corrupted. Try to remove the players folder in your main MM2 folder, then lauch the game and you'll use the DriverX default one. Check if with this new profile still there's the problem.

I've had the same exact problem on my system, and there seems to be no workaround for it. MM2 doesn't like jumping from city to city sometimes, the only remedy for this seems to be to exit and restart the game whenever you're tired of a map.

It's irritating but that's the way I've been able to work around it.

I have deleted my created driver profiles and even re-installing the game, it still happens, I guess I have to do the same things as what Gafaddict posted. And as for files, just the files that the game came with, I didnt add any mods yet.

The game works well on Windows XP, better that in Windows Vista, which is possible to find some graphic and physics problems. In both the OS the stock installation of MM2 with the Windows XP patch installed, the speedboot and a new profile works well in the same way.
About this weird problem it should be given by a particulat configuration of the system.
