DR's Garage - Elysium GT, Pg 5 (Tritoch)

Postby DRitual63 » Sun Sep 23, 2007 1:16 pm

I joined this community sometime ago, but I didn't post here. I learnt a few basics of car converting to MM2 and thought I should give a try.

No Of Conversions: 4
ImageImageImageImage

Here's my first conversion, it's a Ferrari Enzo SE (Special Edition).

Model: WESTBLADE
Textures: WESTBLADE
NFSHP2 conversion: WESTBLADE
MM2 Conversion: Dark Ritual (DRitual63)

Polycount: 30739
Vertices: 28770
It's exactly two years since I started modeling Ferrari Enzo, and one year since it was finished. Now year after is here a custom version with gunmetal grey rims with orange bolts and brake calipers, a lot of chrome (all logos and badges, engine, headlight frame, interior parts, etc.), custom interior colors and custom paint colors. Performance is also a littlebit improved; 64 more BHP, higher RPMs and 68 kg less.
The Enzo comes with 4 color combos.
- blood red paint with bright red interior
- yellow/orange paint with black interior
- black paint with orange interior
- dark gray/blue paint with bright grey/blue interior

Here's a small preview from the Zmod. Featuring Black with Orange Interior. (Favourite color combo :D)

Comments are welcome. Remember to go easy on me, I'm also learning too.

I got the Enzo in game, this is an old shot that I took last night.
It may be a bit dark, but worth the wait.
No Dash btw.

NOTE: There's glass, but a very thin. =P
EDIT: Forgot to mention, this isn't the final version.

Needs Fixed:
-Brakes and Calipers to be seperate, since they are fused together with the wheels and they spin together.
-Performance.
-Camera Views

And to all, thanks for your comments :D
@HummersRock - lol, I learnt a few tutorials around and got used to it easily.

Anyways, more cars will be coming soon. Next one is a 60,000+ poly 1970 Chrysler C300 modeled by viktording/dingsign (From NFSCars too)

double post.

Enzo SE is delayed for a while. I ran into a few problems this morning. For some reason, it stopped working when I export a new one. Wheels went missing after I seperated the calipers and brakes with it.

It's currently still in progress, so stay tuned :D

Your car convertion looks so cool in-game; good job, and hope to solve its bugs. :D
Where can you find these tutorials?
I think that he has read HummerRock's tutorials on his site. There are also a tutorial on this forum and some threads on MM2C forum.

My tutorials? I had car tuning, but that was all for cars. I think he found some conversion tutorial somewhere else maybe.

Looks good, keep up the good work. :) Oh and about the problem with the wheels, you might know this, but you should center the axis on the car before exporting it to a .pkg file. So, in zmodeler, click Select>All and then Display Axis>Center(that should be what to click).

@HummersRock - Actually, I figured it out myself. If those wheels didn't have brakes, they would go missing. It's fixed.
@thekingoftown - I only learnt from these tutorials:

-EuropaCar's Color Changer
-Converting cars from NFS4 to MM2 (German)

Anyways, Enzo SE is fixed. i will post up another preview soon. I still have yet to figure out how to make the calipers and brakes to move with the wheels when turning.

Right now, the calipers are stuck to the body while the brakes are stuck to the wheels.

Ok guys, Enzo SE will be released soon. I will swap that away since it's almost perfect, just needs a gix and voila!
I was planning for a 60k convert of viktording's Chrysler C300 (1970)...but I couldn't resist to convert another pure concept modeled by Murcielagos a.k.a Jocelyn Dumontet.

Here it is, I present you a concept car, Alpha Coupe!
Shortly, there will be a Cabriolet version too.

Preview:
(NOTE, these are pics that the author posted here: https://nfscars.net/forum/showpost.php?p ... count=1790)

Designed and constructed single-handedly by Jocelyn Dumontet, this sleek mid-engined prototype sports advanced looks to go with the cutting edge technology it emloys. Under the ultra-light carbon fiber body and lexan window surfaces, this one place sports car brings the most to driving through innovating solutions and exclusive technologies.
Constructed in association with the famous advanced technologies company Apple, the Alpha sports a surroud-sound audio system, connected to an iPod/iPhone dock, and associated to the powerfull onboard computer. Along with the ability to dock an all new MacBook, this onboard computer is in charge of the settings of the car, which can be adjusted in instants thanks to a new click-wheel based on the well-known iPod wheel. And the car settings need taking care of, for the Alpha offers a variety of uses, from an every-day car, to a GT traverler car to a trackday car.

These multiple uses are allowed by the advanced suspension system that allows maximum comfort, or radical efficiency, or both. But more then anything, the heart of this car is it's engine. The 4 litre V8 was developped with help from Ferrari, and the result is a stuning 550 ch at 9000 rpm. And the most incredible comes next, because although these values make this engine sound like a track-only, high-rev use motor, the torque reaches the amazing value of 65 mkg at only 2500 rpm.
Yeah, those are his own words, just like a marketing company :P
Shortly, this car doesn't only come in one color..

Available Colors:
Acid
Blue (Featured Preview)
Black
Green
Grey
Orange
Purple
Red
Titanium
White
Yellow

Polycount for this sexy Concept is around 40k plus. It has got 2 versions supplied by the author, but I prefer the high poly version for leetness :P

Comments are welcome :D

Wow! :D
Very cool car with awesome details. Nice to see a new car maker now. I'm waiting for your Ferrari Enzo convertion release and I'll see all making processes of this beautiful car. :)

PS: the colors must be 10, MM2 let choose a maximum of 10 colors for car, also if ZModeler can put 11 paintjobs in .pkg exporter.

Hey, thanks for all your comments :D
I didn't knew it had maximum of 10, but I'm gonna remove one color, since Titanium is almost the same color as black.

Now back to the Enzo, I finished correcting the headlights, tailights. I need someone to do the realistic Performance if possible.

I'm pretty bad knowing about performance, so yeah. (Besides, i'm 15)
If anyone is willing to do it, feel free to contact me :D
