I find it ironic that a new laptop can't run ANY game from the 90's. You'd expect a new laptop to run the games better, but as the case with Monster Truck Madness 2 and Hard Truck 2, my Intel card goes apeshit and Direct3D is hypnotized into thinking that everything is ok when in reality, it isn't.

Was looking between the pictures I have arround on my PC and found a couple of Need for Speed World (took weeks before the game was shut down, unfortunately the first ones I took got lost long ago when my previous laptop began giving problems). Surely one of the games I played the most until today and will continue to be one of my favourite titles ever.

The Bugatti I got without either hacking or spending tons of real money on the game, was fun to drive around during the last week when EA made it avaliable for in-game cash:

It was so awesome at Christmas when they added snow to the forest :P

The official version, yes, it required network acess for everything, even if you still have the game files downloaded you can't enter on a offline mode or anything (EA could've done that, that was the least they could do to the players imo). However there's some unnoficial custom solutions, like this one.

The 1.58 Gigs download - That's the offline version ?

Nope, the offline mode software is just a few MBs, the torrent is the latest version of the Need For Speed World files, that you also need to play.

I think you might be interested in the latest GTA Online DLC that came out today. Since GTA IV Rockstar always stayed away from cartoonish content on the franshise, until now. This DLC adds features that remind games such as TrackMania, Mario Kart and even San Andreas MultiPlayer, with floating ramps, tunnels, loops, wallrides and much more.

I wasn't really sure bout this DLC when the first info about it came around since it's something really different from everything else avaliable on the game, but after spendig the afternoon playing I really had a lot of fun and turns out being different makes it a breath of fresh air in this game.

Worth to check out the trailer:
