MM1 Christmas Race

Hello,

A few days ago, I was requested by Wirti94 to make a custom race for MM1. So, I got a picture of its design, I worked on it.

After hardly working, I got it working with AI. It's good to share its pictures.

It will be up for download on 24th December. Though, it's finished. As a surprise, I decide to put link on 24th.

It's its map.

This is so awesome! Its great that you are so cheerful and willing to work on a nice mod even in this busy time of year for all of the MM1 community. Even though I don't have MM1, I see it as a gift to people who do.

I, now considering to put link here to download the race. I've now made a new loading screen for it and changed its name in the game menu. It's easy to remove. The archive also includes the Santa's addon Sleigh, so you'll not have to download separately.

EDIT: The mod had an issue and was previously not working a few minutes ago when I posted the post. Now, the error is fixed, the link is updated.

I don't see it on the "race locales", it's meant to be a map by itself, isn't it?

Edit: nevermind, didn't see it appeared in Chicago checkpoints.

Difficult race, considering the opponents seem "armoured", it's not so easy to finish the race first due to driving on snow when you aren't used anymore to MM1 cars handling (MM2 is MUCH easier).

Making that race wasn't originally my idea. Just a guy requested me to make something in his designation. Well it's easy to remove. You can yourself set weather, time traffic. I don't look at ease or difficulty of it.

I know I can change settings, it's just that it's much harder to drive in race with snow (or rain) in MM1 than in raining race in MM2.
I was able to finish races blitz and circuits in MM2 first in one or two go for most of them, whereas MM1 is much more complicated when one is used to MM2 and didn't play MM1 for a while.

I see. I consider MM1's races harder than the MM2 races. MM1 don't have level-wise cars for opponents neither the weather and time. It has its traffic meter full in every race, just density is different inside the games' files.

I've a lot to do in MM2. I'm in work with my current difficulty project. Have plans of London Racemod next to it. NotoriousA is also planning to create a new SF racemod.

The Christmas race for MM1 was a request by a guy. If I wasn't requested, that race never existed here, lol.

I'm not sure that a Santa's Sleigh for MM2 exists, if does, you can try changing AI with the Santa's Sleighs and try a race. That would be enough.
