I've just started the conversion of a new car, a SUV exactly, the 2011 Kia Sportage, made by Taras G for GTA SA.
The car had 147k polys, 90k vertices, now by removing the useless parts and by reducing the too detailed objects from 3DS Max, the car have "only" 85186 polys for 65888 vertices, of course it works like a charm in-game (only after the first try).
I plan for the dashboard view to use the 3D cockpit because unfortunately there's not a good dashboard view
This car is in progress with two other HQ models (not tried yet) and some other planned cars (from Forza).
However I'll be less active in September and October.
Finally the Type-R is almost done, some details must be fixed and then, the dashboard made by Franch will be added for the release, within this month.
Thank you for your support.

I've noticed this great model made for GTA San Andreas, and cool have it for MM2 too, very good work with the converting. Looking ahead for it. Very good that's possible even reduce the polygons number of a model, this gives some chances with the MM2 converting of very high polygons models.

@ Zac : yeah, unfortunately the modeler didn't respect the real proportions of the car.
Nice find Priyo. This is the same 3D model. From the model info, I guess the GTA version is using the low 3DS format (148,700 faces and 84,700 vertices). In fact, from the GTA readme file, the carname is Kia 2011 Sportage HKV. I found nothing about what "HKV" means, now it's clear.
Dunno if this guy bought the car or he is a part of the HKV Studios team.
