Hi everyone.
I planned to make new scratch models this summer by starting a car from another 3D software, Maya 2009. This vehicle is an amazing supercar, the incredible Saleen S7. Currently I'm working in NURBS and I plan to convert them as SubD later and maybe as polies (for a possible video game version). To be honest I don't make this car firstly for a video game, I want to make models from another software that ZM1 so I won't check the polycount each time (moreover this one isn't available in NURBS mode fyi).
Later I'll start the Alpine A310 V6 for the 3D contest started by the 3DA forum.
Well without further blabber, it's time to show you the first pics.

Very nice model so far, great modeling. You're great also with other advanced modeling softwares.

I started some months ago my first project from a new 3D software, the Audi S5. I made some cars from ZM1 since 2004, now it's time for me to reach the next level, 3DS Max.
The Audi S5 and the 2005 Mustang are currently in hold. Here's the last renders.
Many projects are planned (cars, objects, rooms, scenes) from 3DS Max only. Automotive is the main goal so, I started another car, a 1967 Mustang.
Here's the first pics.
I plan to make this car for a video game, so it will be a low-middle poly model unlike the S5 or the '05 Mustang (made from tutorial fyi).
By the way, here's other cars that I started to learn this software. Now I'm a bit familiar with the main 3DS Max tools, so, as I said, I'll start some other projects.

Cool modeling work with 3ds Max Riva, keep up the training. Really nice so far the 1967 Ford Mustang. I remember about a 3ds Max tutorial on modeling a Fiat 500.
This is what you've said in your older post.
Unfortunately this didn't happen anymore, because of time and business issues I guess.Later I'll start the Alpine A310 V6 for the 3D contest started by the 3DA forum.

I love the smooth shapes, especially on the Fiat 500. The S5 and '67 Mustang look fantastic too. Great work!
Its good that you're progressing with new software. I hear 3DSM offers a lot of new tools and many shortcuts. Not to mention the rendering engine. When you get more experience with it, you'll probably wish you started with it much earlier. Anyway, good luck.

Unfortunately my previous contribuation to the contest that I joined was close to nil. It wasn't a good idea to join a contest by trying to understand a new software quickly. I failed with Maya to the 3DA contest (I just did the splines of this Alpine).
I wanted to join the second contest made by Salim (muscle cars) but it was too soon for 3DS Max.
Salim started a new contest (racing cars) and I've seen the one planned by Silent. I don't plan to make a car from ZM 1.07 before long time.
This Fiat 500 is the same than the DMX/Burner's versions
Thank you mates
