Is Maxoff's pkg filter necessary? I havent used it so far.

The answer to most ZModeler questions can be found in my tutorial. Its my fault I wrote it in a story format. But yeah, go through it once, maybe even get some modeling experience while you're at it and you'll know what to do every time.

To stretch, use the Modify>Scale tool while on objects level and possibly lock one of the X, Y, or Z directions.

Ok, I then did the car with sounds, and tuning, as directed in the tutorial, but now I ran into another snag on the road, so to speak:

Image
Currently doing an alpha test, so it still needs more work...

I even did what the tutorial said when it comes to using tuning from another vehicle, but look at that... Am I doing something wrong? :?

Make sure all objects are above the line in the right/left side view in Zmod. also center all axes (select all>sel (or hit space)>display>center axis, then click on one of the objects.

Select everything (all), and Move it on the Y axis only up above the X-axis until the wheels are just touching the X-axis.

Usually if the axis aren't centered, the wheels would be in the air, it doesn't look like that.

The process of centering all axes at once:

1. Open the project in ZM.
2. Go to Display>CenterAxis, then turn SEL button on.
3. Then click "Show All", then click "Select All" buttons (found underneath objects list box).
4. Then click on any object from any of the viewports (Right, Top, Front or Back views). All objects should have their axes centered now.
5. If the objects arent above the XZ-plane (gray line seen in Front, Back and Right views), now go to Modify>Move and click/lock the "Y" direction (found somewhere on the top toolbar) and move all the objects so that the wheels and shadow are just touching or a little bit above that gray line.
6. Turn SEL off and click "Deselect" to return ZM to normal state.

If that doesnt help, check the .vehsimcar file in the Tune>Vehicle folder and especially the center of mass/axes values. It should 0, 0, 0, or close to it.

My apologies, I have a learning impairment, so that's why I asked. And my apologies if I asked too much...

Here's what I have so far:

Still needs some fixing, then I gonna add a dash to it (from Paul_7's 1985 Buick Regal dash from MM1), and fix up the lights and then shadow, then it'll be ready... :)
