@Franch88 - Thanks for the link.
It will probably lag when you face the city from Golden Gate bridge because the game will have to render everything's high LODs. I've only edited the .cfg file with a hex editor and haven't placed that LOD thing in the MM2 folder and it looks better and gives normal framerate.

Figured I would bump this thread to brag a little. I actually have this working at 60 fps now, without any dips. The solution? An Nvidia GTX 970 paired up with Windows 7.

I was getting 600 fps without this mod, so I decided to give it a shot. Works perfectly.
So if you want to shell out a few hundred dollars to get this working, that's one solution. :P I guess I'm lucky enough to have built the right PC.

They're set to low. If I turn them to high with this draw distance, my framerate dips to 50 in some places.

I've been running without the graphics file for a bit, mostly out of nostalgia. It doesn't affect performance though.

A new powerful graphic card is effectively the best solution to get at least 60 FPS in the game with the unlimited drawing distance. Very nice work and cool screenshots. :)

It's better to get 60 fps as minimun than 50 fps, but still looks very good! It will look better with all graphics at maximun including extra graphics, as Anti-Aliasing.

Go and buy better card! :p
