MM2 is better at just being a fun game.
True that. I mean, don't get me wrong, MM1 enthusiasts, while I agree that MM1 has better physics and the graphics are way better (dem headlights tho :P ), I picked up MM1 and played it for what? 1 month? Yeah, something like that, and I would come back from time to time when something major was released (RV3), but then it would only last so long.

MM2 on the other hand, man I've been playing it since 2000 and only recently (2 years or so) it has started to run out, and I only stopped playing it definitively because I downgraded to Windows 10 (almost wrote upgraded, can you believe that? :P ), so I can definitively that it lasts way longer, at least it did for me.

[color=white]Also, gotta love when people don't publicize their work or ask for support in their signatures. Also don't forget to check my unfinished mods and donate to my Paypal

MM1 for me, definately. I have been playing it ever since it came out, just such a classic and so many memories... also it is challenging and a little less broken than MM2.

For me, MM1 is better than MM2. Better physics (altough I find them hard to drive), better damage effects on cars, better AI and snow mode already in the game. Only things that MM2 have better than MM1 are more cars, 2 cities instead of just one and a less confusing menu.

So, if you don't consider mods, MM1 is better.

BUT, to play with mods (for me, an awesome complement to any game, that's why I prefer PC over game consoles) MM2 is way better. A lot more addon tracks avaliable, cars (higher definition ones and also a lot of low poly cars) and other mods like graphics improving mods; they can make you have hours of fun.

For me mm2 is better than mm1 because you can easily modify it and you can put any cars, cities, mods, traffic, animation textures and more addons.

Physics are better in MM1 without a doubt, I've explained this numerous times before.
I don't know what kind of crack they were smoking when they made MM2, but it probably would have made even Walter White burst into tears. Most of the cars in that game are glitchy and unfinished, and at least half of them don't even have the proper drivetrain setting (front wheel drive Aston Martin!?).
I do believe MM2 has the potential to be realistic, although I've never driven a car besides my own modified Panoz Roadster that actually felt somewhat realistic.

Also, I saw someone mention MM3...

In MM2 the Traffic AI is stupid, they try to crash on you!
And the traffic follow you sometimes.

Instead of MM1, they only try to evade you.

In mm1, the traffic will crash into you, also if you just sit there.

Definitely MM1, but MM2 is a lot more fun, especially with the flexibility of the PSDL format, vs the MM1 BMS format. Also, you can jump much higher in MM2, as MM1 has a limit to how high you can jump. I've jumped almost straight up at 1118 mph, and I've never found a max jumping height. MM1 only allows jumps up to 80-100 feet above sea level. Any higher and your car will literally bounce off the atmosphere. If you're driving on land, you get pushed into the ground, as if gravity suddenly got stronger. MM1 does allow you to fall into much deeper holes before you respawn, whereas MM2 only allows you to drop 160 feet or so.

BMS is more flexible than PSDL. PSDL has no 3D model in it, or UV mapping, etc.

The height limit has something to do with chicago itself. We made a copy of it for custom races awhile back, and it didn't have any limit. We were launching modded cars off of walls to see how far we could go.

BMS is a very good format in my opinion. PSDL has downsides and upsides.

I wished there were more vehicles that were locked from the start of MM2, the faster cars should have harder unlock requirements, start off the game with the weakest cars.
Exactly. It's a piece of cake to unlock the Panoz GTR-1.
