MM2 and Windows 10

Just got a new desktop PC with full Windows 10 Home version installed. Was feeling nostalgic for some MM2. Installed the game, but it doesn't start.

Anyone know how to get it working, if it's possible at all?

I have windows 10 as well. try this fix: https://gtrcars.net/forum/downloads.php?do=file&id=995

I was kinda in the same boat so I just crossed my fingers and downloaded it. so far I can report it appears to be safe.

I had already installed the Windows 8 patch and that seemed to get it working regardless of the fact that I was on Windows 10. It doesn't really make sense but it worked for me

The fix is for Win 8 and 10, we all know it.
But Win 8 is the worst Windows ever so people don't talk too much about it.
That topic title (The tutorial, that one of MM2x.) talks about that Win 8 and Win 10.
