Need for Speed: Rivals is an upcoming racing video game set in an open world environment. Developed by Swedish developer Ghost Games (formerly EA Gothenburg), this is the twentieth installment in the long-running Need for Speed series. The game is set to be released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in November 19th, 2013, it will also be released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One as a launch title for both platforms in the same month.

What do you think of the new NFS?

I'm waiting to check this game, try it in some way, but I don't plan to buy it, like done with the previous deluding NFS Most Wanted by Criterion games (it has nothing that deserved that name, it's a kind of worse Burnout Paradise).
This one looks promising and has what makes a racing game a real Need For Speed (exotic cars, cop chases, be both racer and cop, etc.). The problem is that so far the gameplay it's too similar with Hot Pursuit by Criterion Games, seems to haven't got nothing really new, and I'm expecting worse and poorer things about the single player modes. Really interesting the cars list (that's still not official), with many brand new cars.

Graphics look awesome but I wonder how the tuning will be like, specially crash physics. Shouldn't be like NFS Most Wanted; player car does not get destroyed no matter what.

Hmm, I'll definitely will be watching reviews when it comes out. But this NFS has to be different then... say... Hot pursuit, or, Most Wanted. And I cant tell by watching the preview. Is it going to have some incredible free roam like TDU 1 and 2 or have amazing damage physics Burnout Paradise and Grid 1?

BTW I voted Maybe? so I'm still interested.

This game is awesome! It has awesome Racer cars, awesome Cop cars, awesome Graphics and awesome Gameplay. I love it and yes iam looking forward to it!!!!!!!

I couldn't even run it if I had it due to my machine's various spec's (processor size and so forth), but if someone mod's it into MM2, then I'm excited about it.

At the heart of Need for Speed Rivals is AllDrive, an innovative new online feature that allows gamers to seamlessly transition from playing alone to playing with friends, eliminating the line between single player and multiplayer. Players will have to keep one eye on their rearview mirror as friends will be able to enter and exit races on-the-fly, creating a world where no two events will ever be the same.

@Storm: Lets hope so. But I doubt it'll be possible to convert them to MM2 though. Because NFS Rivals seems to be really detailed and its cars are filled with lots of polies then I I dont think MM2 can handle it. But if the cars in NFS Rivals gat got LODs in them, then maybe its possible.

Just saw the upper new video some days ago. The cars customization isn't much, it's just about coloring, but it's ok considering the type of the cars of the game (supercars aren't made for heavy customizations, they'll just look ugly).

Ehm... It exists, only as concept, so far. The problem it's you not being updated with news about new cars. Check photos and info about it here. The BMW 4-Series is going to be sold in few months, instead.

Why does it remind me so much of Burnout Paradise?

For instance, when starting a race, Burnout immediately starts a race, like NFS Rivals. And that AllDrive thing also relates quite closely to Burnout Paradise, as well. I hope I am not being too harsh at that game, I can tell that game took a lot effort, and it definitely payed off. I just think these new producers of this amazing series should make something different to any other game right now.
