So as of late, I've aquired a number of Sketchup models and am in the process of repainting (most of) them for a project I'm working on. This gallery will show off any artistic skills (or lack thereof) I have.

First, a cop car. Still trying to work out the paintjob details for this one, actually. Just have to decide whether the silver-black combo looks odd or not. The goal is for this fictional department to stand out as unique (no all-white, all-black, or black-white combos) while not being overly flashy (So no chartreuse).

Image

So I've narrowed it down basically to silver or a silver side, blacktop combo (as seen in my picture). Just trying to decide if this looks wierd or not.

Once I decide on the base scheme, I'll be adding either a purple or a dark blue stripe on the side, and replacing the lettering with a department logo of my own.

Here's the law enforcement vehicle green paint scheme. Green?!?
Yes, that's what I said. By the way, the flashers are also green.

See, this paintjob is for a fictional government's fictional FBI/CIA/DHS/whatever, so I wanted them to really stand apart.

You will notice that you can barely make out some words on the side. I intentionally colored the text very closely to its background as a simulation of "ghost paint" undercover cops (the cars where light at certain angles makes the words visible).

The fictional government is called the Shaconage Republic, and this particular branch of their security department works as a "protectorate" to allied nations who request it "assets" in exchange for some form of payment (money or tech or military volunteers or the like).

SASA (say-suh) stands fo Strategic Asset Security Agency

(PS: I didn't make the whole backstory just for the paintjob. I was writing a story that involved SASA and this cool (at least IMO) paint scheme popped up in my head.

Oh, and that blue rectangle isn't supposed to be on the hood. I had just colored that text when I took the picture and forgot to deselect it.

So here's a bit from the FD:

Bright chartreuse pumper and mini-tanker. Couldn't miss seeing this color if you tried!

You notice the pumper's lightbar is predominantly blue while the tanker's is predominantly red. The tankers lightbar was one unit and I didn't want to go all-out blue, But the pumper lightbar, mostly blue with a couple red, that's my eventual goal.

By the way, any comments on paintjobs? Feel free to post!

Maybe for MM2 because they're 3D models.

Thanks for the compliments, guys! :)

Well, this is the general pictures thread, not the MM2 thread, so yeah, mostly just showcasing. I have done a little work on a few models for MM2, but for various reasons have never managed to complete one. I can do most of the physical work, but I keep getting hung up on the programming part.

That being said, if anyone was actually interested in putting some of this stuff in MM2, and managed to find someone willing to do the latter half of conversion (basically proofing my work for errors and then doing sound/tuning/game-implementaton), anything I've ever shown in pics is free for the asking.
