Very nice modeling work, as always. :) Cool story of yours behind this bus, and sounds great have friends to talk about MM2 IRL. :)

I've tried the Renault M

Thanks for checking it out :) I made new 3d taillights and for some reason it keeps crashing the game now, working on it... in the meantime, Neoplan is ingame!

So I have been thinking about what the supercar of the game should be so I figured... why limit the game to only one awesome fast car, why not two? Would make the final races more interesting... so I got two ideas - Honda NSX and Ferrari F40. Still looking into some other awesome options.

Here we go, took a little break, back to modelling. I admit this one is slightly trickier to model and I don't want a half-assed product. It's sort of a crossover between facelift and prefacelift Honda NSX, I just like having some artistic freedom and bring best of both worlds into my work.

It looks a tougher made model, indeed. Great work. :) Looking for the Ferrari F40.

That will look really nice with damage textures. Nice model. :)

Thanks guys, here is a little sneak peek into how I make it all happen, half textures NSX.

Image

e-cobra: I am not sure yet if I will be making any damage, 4 cars in I figured out I was mapping them wrong, the entire car is unwrapped onto a single texture map 512x512. I started doing these for fun so I didn't do any research and I did them my way, which is not the right way for making damage. Of course I could remap them but I am still deciding on that if it's worth it.

How do you make your textures?

This is a graphical representation of how I do it...

first stage- find as much reference pics that will be used as possible, preferably white, nice angles, easy to work with

second stage - unwrap the model, render the UV map at 512x512, throw into Photoshop

third stage - start applying pieces of the picture onto the UV map, constantly checking the model if everything aligns, I also draw up some stuff like the bonnet and roof lines, some textures like the front bumper are just tiled patterns etc.

final stage - checking if everything aligns, making window textures, applying other textures, cleaning up, bugfixes, paintjobs

Nice. The way I did my low poly vehicles was that I used photoprints from SMCars(GT4 or real life ones from MultiMediaMan).

carking1996: Yeah I considered that but some of the cars that I want to do aren't available there so I use real pictures so the art style is continuous through all the cars.

Thanks guys for the support, also happy new year and all that. Let's hope I mash this mod together 'till the end of the year haha. Here it is, NSX in it's glory.
