Yesterday and today I've been working on this. The original model came with an awful quick modeled rear louvre, so I decided to totally remodel it myself. My main goal was to make it with the proper shaping, but at the same time low poly enough to fit in the car. I'm actually really happy with the result. :)

Now it's time to make it 3D with the bottom of each part and such because I only made the top polygons, and then finish the part texturing and mirroring the other side.

Some updates to the project. I modeled and textured the side windows, trying to make the quality fit on the car.

Also, I edited the texture that came with the original model to improve some details, and also made the second livery availiable for this car, equal in everything to the stock one but with an optional side sticker. Only missing the golden Delorean texture to have all the liveries complete.

Ignore the crappy normals, I'll fix them when all the model is complete.

EDIT: Replaced the screenshot of the second livery for an updated one.
I think only the Back To The Future car had the Goodyear Polyglas tires. Other than that awesome work

I really should finish this car, it's only missing the interior. You're right about the wheels, I may change the texture of them later.

New car convertion completed! I kept this in secret for the Halloween, it's the Chariot Romero from GTA V, last gen model.

When I was going to participate on Silent's SOTM contest, I relized there's not a single hearse avaliable forthe game. And, also as an hearse enthusiast (yes, I am) I had to get one in game. So, I got the 3D model of the last gen GTA V's hearse (unfortunately I couldn't figure out how to get the more detailed version out of my PC copy of the game) and converted it. Features a dashboard that fits on 16:9 screen ratio, with HD textures thanks to the innovation me and Aaro4130 did on our Ford GT, tuning that tries to replicate the specs of the Romero on GTA V and the original engine sounds of the game.

The mod should be soon avaliable online in time for anybody who want to use it on the screenshot contest. Also, this is PART of my Halloween gift - I'm working on another car convertion, IMO much more awesome than this one, although I couldn't get it done in time so I'll release it later. Stay tuned!

So that's the secret you told us about. Nevertheless it is still one hella surprise !! 8O. Splendid idea to include a 16:9 dash. Wait.. wha ? Hearse enthusiast ?!? :P. And did you try the modded zmodeler 3 in gamemodels.ru, specially for GTA V ?
That really is a deadly hearse you have there. :P
omg, that's so dark :P. Get it ? We're exchanging puns now .

Thank you all for your comments. :)

@BIGzee: half the surprise, hopefully tomorrow I have the second conversion completed too. ;)

Actually I got the model from a conversion for GTA San Andreas. I'm very familiar with the conversion process from that game and the software is fairly easy to get, and I still don't have 3dsMax on this laptop, which is really useful to import files from websites like that. Unfortunately I wanted to convert a model of one of the older 60s and 70s real life hearses, my favourite ones, but all the model available are either scratch made by other people or edited models, and having to find a way to contact the creator and ask for permission takes a lot of time, own experience back when I had to search for the contact of the Mad Max Interceptor creator.

Yep, I really like the typical American hearses, I wish som, day I could own and restore one, but shipping it to Portugal and all the taxes I would have to pay would worth it. :/

And finally, about the dashes, this is something I've been doing since my first car convention, I really like mm2 1st person view option, and I was never a big fan of the square shaped dashes, so I tryed to improve the techniques to make these dashes over the time. :)
