Good job so far.

Now, with recent video games (such as Forza 3 or Shift 2), you can use their HQ cockpits as MM2 dashboards but muscle cars are pretty rare and unfortunately there's not GTX.

Really nice dashboard, great work with it. :) Right, for some kind of cars/dashboards is really hard find a proper dashboard image.

Got some images of Mark and I pulling off one of the hardest dual-stunts ever, in multiplayer, with his car! It also provides a cool showcase for the car too.

EDIT: I read the last page. Mark and I fixed the crashing issue, it was related to the bound. There were two issues with it, one was the fact that it had well over 100 polys, and another was because it had holes where the wheel wells were. He made a new 12 (or so) poly bound, and multiplayer worked fine. :)

Great stunt and cool screenshots, really hard do that. :)

Yes, 100 polygons are too much for the BOUND object, it has to be really simple, about 50 polygons are more than enough, just to have a basic car shape. With 12 polygons what you get is a cubic shape.

Concerning the car, the reflections on the roof look bad, but isn't it used to be without them?

I'll admit, the old BOUND was...well, just see for yourself -

Image

It worked great in SP...but not in MP.

Also, LOD bodies!

The BOUND object was even mirrored, with the conseguence of more used polygons, but the shape is ok, though. Nice to have made different quality LODs of the body, don't forget to make the ones of the wheels too, at least by copying the _H wheels objects. :)

Having a bit of trouble with the dash...I'm probably going to have to spend a good few hours or so just testing the hell out of the dash (MM2DP is the most useless program I've ever used >.>)

New dash in progress!

Image

Inspired by the 1971 Plymouth Road Runner...it's going to make my life a lot easier with a dash like this. Also, I borrowed some textures from the Mustang, since I'm not THAT good :P

Wheel is made using nothing but photoshop. Needs some refinement.

Quick Update:

:)

Quick Update #2:

Image

I'm gonna try something new, so I made a little spot for the gear indicator, since it makes no sense to have floating numbers...

And for those interested, here's the old dash and why I'm redoing it -

Image

Update 3:

As I mentioned before, I was going to refine the wheel, and I did -

Image

Update 4:

One final update before I knock out for the night.

Image

Excellent way to use your resources. ;)

Dude, great dash! Maybe not 100% accurate, but it does look better than before. Good work! :)

cool work O.O but the cutting in the upper part near the glass needs improving (needs to be much smother ) also a quick tip add a bit of tint in the glass makes it look more realistic :)

Very cool dashboard, really great work, you're very good in making textures. You can add to it the left frame and also a bit of glass tint.

This'll be the last time you shall see the dashboard before it's in game -

Image

Well, that's assuming I don't go throw myself off the Bay Bridge (thanks DB) trying to accomplish it! LOL
