Looovely...MM2 has ruined my beautiful dashboard with the 16 colors limitation it has :(

Does anyone know of any really good dashboard tutorials? MM2DP isn't worth crap to me, so I need to do this manually...and the one I read isn't helping me much!

How is it that everyone else makes a fine and dandy dash and I am just having PROBLEM after PROBLEM AFTER MOTHER ****ING PROBLEM?

I followed every friggin step of >>>>>>>>>>>>>THIS TUTORIAL<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< and it just made everything worse. I tried using DP to help visualize the dashboard setup, but MM2 wants to be a little bitch about everything and tell me I'm wrong. This is a sack of crap!

I NEED HELP!!! I refuse to use DP's template dashboard!

do not move things over the Z axes, had problems with that too :wink:

If I don't move anything over the Z axis, the dashboard is HUGE.

I don't think that's your main issue here. Got any .mtx files for the dash? Yeah, delete those.

XD You make me laugh, simple, do what DB said :P. I had more probs than u when I was like 8 and didnt know how to center the axis and I was wondering why glass was white and stuff lol.

Don't say bad things about MM2 Dashboard Placer program, that program is essential to make the dashboard objects moving, just know what you're doing and it won't cause any problem; to know how use it, just follow the guide that should be present in the program archive, don't follow that very old one at MM2C forum, it explains another harder way not used with MM2 Dashboard Placer program.
About your dashboard problem, yes, delete the .mtx files with the "_dash" part, sure you have them in the Geometry folder. Also, do the texture have proper sizes?

BETA TESTERS WANTED!

I've been slacking off on this project lately, sorry about that. I just have some really simple fixes left to fix...but I figured I'd go ahead and do a public beta for everyone to try out!

The model and textures are all me. The dashboard is 50% me and 50% DB (he fixed our positioning problem)

Please post here if you are beta testing so I can include you in the readme. If you want to make any changes, go right ahead. Let me know if you have made any changes ;)

Please do not make any model/texture changes - leave that to me, please. I am also aware that the BOUND might be messed up - I will fix this for the final version.

Regarding a widescreen dash fix, I'm not sure how that one's going to work. I do have one, but DB gave it to me and it has a lot of dash fixes in it. I'll talk to him about that one.

I've tested the beta, in the complex has been done a great work. :wink: Very good work on model and textures, truly in MM2 style. :) Very nice the paintjobs and the vehicle showcase, ok the lights. Sounds and tuning fit nicely the car type. Very good work with the dashboard.
What can be fixed are the damages smoke that can be moved a little more up, the shadow that can be made more dark, the car year that's missing ahead the car name in-game, and is needed the "_opp" copy of the .vehcarsim file. Also, the textures for the damages are no more planned?

At the end, the .ar file name can be renamed, aren't needed so many "!" symbols for a car add-on, and the word "project" has to be removed since it sounds appropriate only when it's still a work in progress.
The link gets always corrupted when are present certain symbols, I think it's a normal happening in forums posts.

Thanks for testing out the GTX, Franch!

Regarding the missing year, that's actually not missing - it makes the name too long if I have the year in front. The showroom has the year in it just like the Mustang. Damage textures are indeed still planned, I need to make some new ones because my previous ones looked horrible ;)

(the showroom needs to be fixed, lol)

The "_opp" copy of .vehcarsim was removed because me and DB were debugging why the GTX wouldn't work in MP, and I was advised to remove it. I will probably put it back in the end.

And I know, ProjectGTX is the working name. The final version will be polished up and will probably be something like "69PlymouthGTX_CL69.ar" ;)

And about the "!" symbols, that's just a habit of mine. I take extra caution when making add-ons - it makes debugging easier for me.

About the lights, what can I do about them? They're just simple headlights that are found in MM2, lol. I never noticed it before, but _ni textures GLOW in the dark...

Ok, I've finished Beta Testing the car and it's pretty Awesome!! :wink: It's Low-Poly It has Amazing Tuning-Realistic and it has nice paintjobs and Nice dash 2!!!! Nice Job Man!!!!
