Sounds a good idea convert the traffic cars model of the 18 Wheels of Steel Convoy game making them as drivable cars for MM2. Better make a carpack of them, with the most little size, and possibly that replaces the 20 default game cars (easy to make through the .info file). Should be possible make more colors for them, just copy and edit the textures.
Probably those models are too high polygons to be used for an MM2 traffic cars mod.
(un)Known bugs: I finished the Chevrolet Venture but, this car's wheels going crazy!
There should be a problem with the wheels objects axis; in ZModeler, select all the objects and center their axis before export.

PS: the direct linking of images from IGCD website is not allowed, you must put a link to a page with it, like done with the other cars in the list.

No, obviously I meant the car body color, the simple paintjob. Is really easy color them and so make more paintjobs, especially when the base texture is white colored.
High polygons are not a problem.
Indeed, if their use will be for player cars they're ok, but sure isn't so for a traffic mod use. Each car model sure has less than 10000 polygons judging from the screenshots.
Wouldn't it be possible to reduce the polygons if they're too high poly?
This is planned to be a car pack of player cars, so is ok use those models as they are. At the end they'll be low/medium polygons cars add-ons. I was meaning about an use of those models for a traffic mod, that sure isn't possible because they're too high polygons for a such use (a maximum of 1500/2000 polygons is suggested for each traffic car).

1500 or 2000 poly for a traffic car is too many for MM2 IMO. 1000 is enough and you can set the traffic to the maximum.

I described wrongly I think, I'm not making a custom AI car package (like sajmon14's AI car packages). I'm converting SCS Software traffic cars to MM2 for you can drive them. So, the high polygons will not be a problem.

No, you've described what you're going to do in the right way since the begin: you're going to make as player cars (possibly putting them in only one .ar file, making a carpack, or package of player cars) the cars models of the 18 Wheels of Steel Convoy game AI traffic. I've said this in my first post too. I'd just said something about the not possible use of those models for a traffic mod (the one that you call AI car package), but have been the other members that have continued with that discourse...

However, lets close with this off-topic and lets wait for the first images of this project. Good work with it. :wink:
