Factory Track, a Porsche 911 Turbo 997

Postby Riva » Fri Oct 09, 2009 6:23 pm

Together just for the show.

A new track for MM2 is in progress (started in September), called Factory and made by Some1 for Racer as a test map with the same quality than Speedest3. Franch did an amazing work on it by adding a circuit with seven checkpoints, night lights props, a hudmap and some details fixed too. Not so long (unknown length, more than 1'10 to browse the main road @ 120 mph) but with great textures and a well done 3D mesh (70k triangles).

At the same time, I started another car conversion, a Porsche 911 Turbo 997 made by Black Box for NFS Undercover but I'm working from the GTA IV version (released a short time ago) made by MisterGTA (23k tris, 27k vertices).

Very nice Riva, great projects. The Factory track is very nice, and I haven't got problems while its fixing, only some things took more time. Very nice the Porsche 911 Turbo.
Keep it up. :)

Nothing lag for me since the last year when I updated my PC components :/ I can't tell you if a specific add-on lag or not. Reminds me Mountain Pass and Speedway with which I had lag excepted with default cars but since, I don't see the difference between London or Fantasy Hillrace e.g.

Proof Dageek ? I'm really curious to see your version (not a problem for me but I'm a bit septic, not by your work but by the fact that your model is the same than me ... though ... the GTA4 version had many defaults that I solved or almost).

Car is in progress. Handling, sounds and details must be done.

On the contrary that a so detailed track can let think, it doesn't lag too much on most of the systems with maximum details setted. This is given especially by the lack of the other LOD objects for the PKGs, that are used for almost all the track.

The car is still in progress, not tested yet. Riva is still waiting for the dashboard files from Jos

Did you use another reflections mod ? Or maybe you put more than 128 as specular from MM2CTK ? Of course a model may vary from normals to some used reflections.

That's a very good dashboard, nice update. I'll test the car soon. Both car and track are really almost ready for the release.
