.hp2 has no extension, only the extensions .o and .oif
has a pack for this:

You need to get ZM 1.07b, then install the *.OIF plugin (from this folder : "C:\Program Files\ZModeler\1.07b\Plugins"), finally you need to use OIF Tool to convert the *.O files to *.OIF files.

You need before converting a car for MM2 from ZM 1.07b to center the wheels (personally I center each objects in same time).

For this, select all objects, enable SEL, menu Display > local axis > reset > click on any views (except the 3D view) then center axis, click again on any views.

So, when the car touches the ground after started a gameplay the game crashes? Sure it's given by te BOUND object.
If it's just a copy of the BODY_H object without the texture happens this error in-game; it should be given because it has too polygons, and because it has to be different than the BODY_H object.

About the wheels, they must have their axis on its center. It's better that all the objects have their axis on own center.

The BOUND object must have no textures, not too much polygons and vertices and so it has to be different than the BODY_H object.
You can get a BOUND object in this .3ds file which has the base objects to make an MM2 car.

Form your posted picture in the MM2X SS gallery it looks good, but you can well change its shadow with the default one from another vehicle, as you did with the BOUND object.
To know how to add colors check the Silent1Unknown's tutorial in the multiple colors part or check the very good EuropaCar's tutorial.

Edit: After published your picture I've seen that it has a better shadow. It looks nice.

PS: is better that you post pictures of it in this topic.
