Combining textures

Postby Midtown2 » Wed Jul 10, 2013 12:29 am

Hello Everyone!

I am thinking of converting some cars from Forza to Need for Speed 3 (the 1998 game). I pretty much know how to do it, but there is one problem. For those who have ever seen the textures in NFS 3 and NFS 4, there is one texture for everything on the car. Forza has many textures for each part of the car. I want to know how to combine them into one big texture so I can start converting LOD5 cars to NFS 3.

Thanks in advance!

You might have to do individual sides (side, top, etc.). so a lot of it you will to make on your own. But you probably shouldnt take this advice. take this as a heads up! or whatever. :P

Let me make this a bit more clear... I have to combine the nodamage, lights, wheel, etc. into one texture. Also, I use paint.net but I can download any other programs that are free that may be needed

The older NFS games, at least from NFS3 to NFS6, always use only one texture for the cars, and it's a rule to respect on cars add-ons made for these games.
In ZModeler 1.07b there's a remapping function that puts the mapping of all the selected objects into one texture. So, select all the cars objects included the wheels and click on menu Tools
