Story : One day at my cottage, a guy came up on our private property and we said it was private property, he told my mom to start drinking later, then she sayd excuse me?, then he said Go F*CK your self, then my dad and his buddy went and he said to my dads friend, touch me and i nail you in the eye (and he had kids), and my dad said, touch him and you die, then he went away, one week later i had a dream about it

Dream : I got a knock on my cottage door, we let Him in, then it turned into my house :S, then he said " I would like to apologize for my bad behaviour, then we had lasagna together, and my dad kicked him out right after we came for dinner, then he left a full plate of lasagna, my mom said " he hasnt eaten yet" my dad said " so" then it ended, weird :S

Indeed it is. But so many odd topics like this are just needed. Fine to post here. Nice to know when going to sleep. I actually would rather not read it, but it's hard to understand.

The worst nightmare I ever had (well, the one that scared me the most) goes something like this:

I was with a short, slightly fat dude (I think he had some jail-like looking clothes on and some kind of hat) and a girl (wearing a dress and holding onto a parasol). We were on a mountain top, near a volcano, and there was also a cave near by. The short, fat dude had a cannon and a cannon ball; he put the cannon ball into the cannon. Then ash started raining from the sky; at first I thought it was snow, but the girls said that it was ash.

Then I was in the cave and saw a woolly mammoth inside the cave. Then the dream changed and all I was was the woolly mammoth (a close-up like in a movie). It had a green glowing eye. This scared me a lot and I started waking up. When I was awake enough to have my eyes open, I looked at the wall nearest me and my bed and saw the woolly mammoths head covering most of the wall. His eye was still glowing green. He stayed there for 10-20 seconds, but it felt like 10 minutes.

I was a little shocked when I read yours.. 4M for a cottage? That might be the first for that price. I don't have dreams, nor do I want to.

@ aaro - no one is going to buy a 4,000+ sq-ft house for $4 million, get real.

So if you have a dream that seemed very long (say the dream was about some bizarre week you had), it wasn't at all? It was actually packed into 3 seconds or less? Well then I guess it's true the that time is different when you're asleep than it is when you're awake.

There can be a dream that lasts a few seconds, but the average length is not 3 seconds thats ridiculous.

Your sister's book is being ridiculous, IMO. How can they last 3 seconds when you're dreaming the whole night? Is there any explanation on why you would die in your sleep if you dream for more than five seconds?
