Wow man. Changing the name from midtown.exe to MidtownMadness.exe actually fixed the issues I was having. MM1 runs flawlessly on my Windows 10 PC now. Excellent find!

You are missing the MTX files. Make sure those are in the same folder as the model when you load it.

My Revisited cars make use of many unused assets in the game, so you may find them in mm2core.ar as well.

Glad that lighting editor helped, that looks much better than the first pictures you showed in Discord. :)

Can't wait to give the finished product a spin. Pretty fun CnR map too.

Midtown Madness Discord Server

I've opened a Midtown Madness discord server for us all to use. We can discuss anything MM related (or just chat), send files, pictures, etc. Voice chat is even an option. We've already got some members, including familiar faces like aaro4230, Diatosta, CarLuver69, FXANBSS, and a few others. Just cl...

Ok. That doesn't sound like a fatal error. Are you unable to play the game?

This error could be caused by turning off your page file.

Yes. It may not look right on steep PSDL mountains, but it will be better than no shading at all.

It's not lmap, but it uses the same system. It computes what the light on flat ground would look like for that time of day by taking the values from the lt file, running them through a short trig equation, and applying the result as ambient light to the parts of PSDL that don't have it, without affe...

Basically what happened with the reflective breakables and such was that they would appear at the car's origin rather than on the breakables. So basically you would see a bunch of ghosts under the car.

As far as i know, the only way to do that is to install classic madness, but only install the cities, not the core mod, so the game will crash if you play that city with traffic, because of a certain traffic car that doesn't exist and it requires the core file to work. That's kind of an understanda...

Similar to the last paintjob fix with traffic cars, we now finally have all 3 parked car models showing up in the game. :)

I dumped in every addon I ever had (600+ files from my vault). After deleting about a dozen broken or conflicting ones, it ran fine with 256 MB of memory.

In reality, a setting of 1 GB is overkill for MM2. It will eat alot of your system's RAM while playing the game, without any real benefit. Hell, it might even cause a few crashes on its own because of this. I'd recommend a maximum setting of 256 MB. That's 8x more than default, and enough to handle ...
