Alright. What it seems was that it was a bad exe file or something. I had also tried hot pursuit and the crew on my PC and they had worked fine. I just download a new exe file and it worked. Thanks everybody!

Hey guys So I've figured out how to play mm2 on my new Windows 8.1 laptop. I am however having problems with Need for Speed Most Wanted 2012. I click the application and it says "an app is needed to open this file" or some crap like that. Anybody know how to fix it? I changed compatibility...

It works fine for me...

To prevent it from happening in the first place, make sure you don't click on anything but the object that you are mirroring/reorienting. Usually this stops the problem from occuring for me.

Yeah since I posted that I have gotten the game and it's pretty nice... Heating your tires gets frustrating but otherwise it's really fun

Usually it's the players folder. Try deleting it or simply starting a new save game... That usually fixes the problem for me.

I don't think I'll be using mine for gaming much (idk maybe because I'm not allowed to take my Xbox with me to college) but sad that midtown madness probably won't work on it. I don't like current windows PC. I'm fine with my windows 7 computer but I really don't like 8. And the big problem is that the laptop I'll be getting for college is almost certainly going to be windows 8 (maybe 10 if I'm lucky)
