First, download DirectPlay for MM2 to work, and keep using speedboot because it is the best official exe.

And don't forget to setup dgVoodoo so that MM2 can use newer DirectX that your computer supports correctly. (You're in Windows 10 so yes, do it)

without DgVoodoo it will run extremely slow.
